Natural Stress Relief For Attorneys and other high stress jobs
Law firms are losing millions of dollars annually due to the overall effects of stress. Attorneys with high levels of stress put their entire well being at risk. Stress wreaks havoc on the emotional equilibrium as well as physical health. It narrows your ability to think clearly, function effectively and enjoy life.
Human Performance Technology's Stress Management Program provides attorneys a highly charged, three-phase process for identifying, understanding and managing stress. It is a performance-enhancing tool designed to inspire attorneys to operate at a higher performance level while maintaining a more stress-free condition and attitude.
Managing stress is all about taking control of your thoughts, emotions, your environment and the way you deal with life's challenges. Our ultimate goal with the Human Performance Technologies' Stress Management Program is to provide attorneys with the information and tools on how to lead a fulfilled, balanced life with time for work, relationships, relaxation and fun - and the resilience to hold up under pressure when necessary.
It is our sincere intention to make this three hour program enjoyable, informative and powerful enough to impact the typical stress issues that most attorneys experience.

| PHASE 1 is the self evaluation phase which provides attorneys the opportunity to gain an understanding of how they measure up in the areas of stress, urgency and quality of life. The vast majority of us have a perspective of ourselves that is way out of touch with reality. By going through the self evaluation process, attorneys get an informative reality check which alerts them to issues such as burnout, depression, anxiety and stress. |

In PHASE 2, we deal with belief systems. Although many subscribe to the opinion that their beliefs were shaped by their experience, behavioral psychologists have proved otherwise. To some, this may be a scary notion, but for those attorneys interested in being the best that they can be, it will serve as a tremendous breakthrough in their ability to change and grow.
If beliefs are responsible for our realities and ultimately our destiny, our ability to understand them is crucial to our growth. There are two primary categories of beliefs: conscious beliefs and unconscious beliefs. Our conscious beliefs change as we grow and mature. Unconscious beliefs, which are typically adopted at times of high emotion and stress, do not change. They play in the backgrounds of our lives thwarting our happiness and fulfillment, sabotaging our success and causing us a lot of unwanted stress.
|

Also in PHASE 2, attorneys learn about the various categories of beliefs and how they can impact their lives. Should they be suffering from problems such as
relationship difficulties, alcoholism, drug addiction, burnout, etc., understanding transparent and limiting belief systems will give them some context and insight to their problems.
None of us make decisions based on reality. We make decisions based on our perception of reality. When our beliefs are accurate, our decisions tend to be effective, producing the results we desire. But when our beliefs are inaccurate, our decisions will often be ineffective, producing undesired results and a lot of stress. |

| In PHASE 3, as in the Charles Dickens' 1843 classic, A Christmas Carol, the FutureVision exercise provides attorneys with the opportunity to mirror the ride of Ebenezer Scrooge in seeing what their lives would be like should they choose to maintain their unempowering beliefs versus focusing on their empowering ones. This exercise is designed to accentuate the pain associated with limiting beliefs and the pleasure attributed to empowering beliefs. The attorney's success in doing this exercise is based upon their intent and ability to imagine the impact of these two diametrically opposed belief systems over a period of five years. |

"When I was asked to help the author with his new
EMPOWERMENT book, I thought it would be the
typical editing and graphic design project. However,
the more I read the more intrigued I became and
the more I realized how important this information
could actually be if I applied it to my own life. I
made a commitment to do it and after thirty days
of faithful practice I felt I was truly headed toward
my goals. After sixty days I felt a transformation
was taking place and after ninety days it had literally
changed my life.
Thank you Michael for the profound contribution
you have made to my life."
